Several of you have left comments here and on Facebook, and also sent me emails.  Thanks for your congratulatory and supportive notes.

To answer a question that some have raised … yes, I will continue to write.  At least I will do my very best to stay on top of the one blog I have remaining … Two to Travel.  This is the blog I started way before we began full-timing.  It has stories of our non-RV travels and other occasions that I deemed blog-worthy.  Now it will contain all of our travel stories … including those we embark upon when we eventually buy a ‘baby motorhome’ to replace our much-loved Phaeton.

It’s a bittersweet post that I write.  Although we plan to continue traveling around North America in a motorhome, it won’t be on a full-time basis anymore.  Nor will it likely be in the Phaeton … we really won’t need a 40-foot motorhome to travel in now that we have a stix & brix home once again.

3 Nights and 4 Days on the Road: From CoS to Houston

So much for hoping that the temps might drop by the time we got to Houston!  It was, in fact, 100F (38C) under the humid, broiling sun when we pulled into Advanced RV Resort shortly before 5:30p … a day earlier than planned.  Not that an extra day on the road would have made any difference to the weather … the forecast for the rest of the week is similar to what we experienced today.

Colorado Springs: Wrapping Up Our Stay

Two weeks at the USAFA famcamp in “the Springs” — as the locals refer to Colorado Springs — has flown by.  I figured I had better write a quick summary of our time before the memories become fuzzier than they already are … and before we begin the trek back to Houston, Texas tomorrow.

Wrapping up Denver

Truth be told, we didn’t really spend much time in Denver proper … except to check out some condo options to see if the city would be a consideration for future settlement.  Though we have not written off Denver categorically, the properties we saw didn't really meet our “wish-list.”  So for now, at least, we’re scratching the city off the list.

What else did we do during the time we were based at Cherry Creek SP?  We did have some fun times … with Denver-based friends and family.
