3 Nights and 4 Days on the Road: From CoS to Houston

So much for hoping that the temps might drop by the time we got to Houston!  It was, in fact, 100F (38C) under the humid, broiling sun when we pulled into Advanced RV Resort shortly before 5:30p … a day earlier than planned.  Not that an extra day on the road would have made any difference to the weather … the forecast for the rest of the week is similar to what we experienced today.

Colorado Springs: Wrapping Up Our Stay

Two weeks at the USAFA famcamp in “the Springs” — as the locals refer to Colorado Springs — has flown by.  I figured I had better write a quick summary of our time before the memories become fuzzier than they already are … and before we begin the trek back to Houston, Texas tomorrow.

Wrapping up Denver

Truth be told, we didn’t really spend much time in Denver proper … except to check out some condo options to see if the city would be a consideration for future settlement.  Though we have not written off Denver categorically, the properties we saw didn't really meet our “wish-list.”  So for now, at least, we’re scratching the city off the list.

What else did we do during the time we were based at Cherry Creek SP?  We did have some fun times … with Denver-based friends and family.
