Gulf Waters RV Resort — Port Aransas, Texas
Temps: Hi 79F (26C) / LO 73F (23C)
Sorry for taking my time wrapping up the last post about our recent facelift project. Finally the photos are processed, so without further ado …
First from across the pond ...
Then from Site 408 itself...
Landscaping details from around the site; might be doing a bit more when we return next year ...
Of course, we can’t let all this effort go to waste. With the weather much more conducive to being outdoors, we've been enjoying the 'rooms' quite a bit … reading, writing, entertaining, watching TV. Though I have no photo-proof, Mui’s has been using the ‘improved’ patio kitchen to cook for us and for guests … he says it’s one of his favorite ‘rooms’ here at Site 408 ;-)
Despite all the changes to our site, two things haven’t changed — our views of …
… sunrise behind the palms, and …
… sunset, which colors the pond as the sun sets behind us.
Our time here at GWRVR is growing short — for this season. It won’t be easy leaving our home pad behind, but the exciting adventures we have planned will make it easier to do so.
Very impressive! That's looking good!! Mui deserves to sit back and relax a bit, and so do you. Home Sweet Pad, is really so true! Safe travels to you, and as always, enjoy!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so inviting, and imagining Mui's great cooking on that patio makes me really sad that we don't live closer. The skies look like it is endless summer there on the Texas coast. Although the cooler temps must herald something that is akin to fall, but nothing like our chilly rainy fall days here in Rocky Point. Another thought...even if we shoot JPEG, something tells me there will still be "processing" to handle before photos get posted. I will be curious to see just how much I shoot with the DSLR if I get a baby camera.
ReplyDeleteUnless I'm on a major trip -- or there are animals-on-the move involved, the DSLR rarely comes out these days ... especially for the blog. I'll be interested to hear what your experience turns out to be.
DeleteWow is that ever gorgeous. Fabulous home pad. I really love the tile accents. You sure look comfy there. If you aren't using the DSLR, you are sure getting fabulous pictures from whatever you are using.
ReplyDeleteMostly I am using the Canon 50SX ... it's great except when I try to get critters in action; then it's luck of the draw.
DeleteLooks great! Hope you can pull yourselves away for some travel adventures in the RV:)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful site! You've done great things to make it so homey. Love that kitchen, Mui! I can see why you spend so much time there:) You do have a gorgeous view. Wonderful reflection photos!
ReplyDeleteWhat do you feed those large lizards on your shed? At least they stay still so you can get great pictures of them... ;c)
ReplyDeleteThat is really beautiful! We'll be there tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteWelcome ... I guess we'd better go fill the larder again so we can continue entertaining ;-)
Delete408 looks fabulous! enjoy the new 'room'!!
ReplyDeleteGroovy digs mes amis! Mui's table is always so inviting, looks fabulous. Sue put it nicely, "endless summer" on our little island... How true. We get to enjoy nine beautiful months if we can endure the three scorching months of real summer ;)
ReplyDeleteWe'll meet you right back here next April for the spring migration, after we all get back from below the equator!
Enjoy! Enjoy!
Looks great, you've sure had some nice weather recently, can't wait to get there. Hope to see it when we get there, one more month till then.
ReplyDeleteI am speechless, its just beautiful. I am sure there is not a site that looks as nice as yours. I do not think I would like to leave this place or leave it for anyone else to use it. It is heaven as far as I am concerned; perfect in every way. Mui, ellerin dert görmesin. Öpüyorum.
ReplyDeleteThere are plenty of other lovely sites @ GWRVR ... that's what makes being here so nice, but I do have to admit I'm a bit partial to 408 ;-)
DeleteBeautiful! Looks very inviting!
ReplyDeleteWow I feel lucky I get to see your newly renovated pad and admired it in person soon. Great job!
ReplyDeleteWe are in awe of how gorgeous your place looks. I would have a very, very difficult time tearing my self away from that place.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to see Mui enjoying the outside TV. We rarely used it.
ReplyDeleteYour site is beautiful. You did a wonderful job on it, and I especially like all the red accents.
