Maxwell AFB FamCamp — Montgomery, Alabama
Temps: Lo 33F / Hi 50F (.5C / 10C)
One of Mui’s buddies in Turkey sent us a link that I just have to share with fellow-RVers who have Cummins engines under the hood (or pushing them from behind, as the case might be).
Roughly translated, here are the words to the email from Korkut (Korki, as he is better known amongst friends):
For some reason, this seemed familiar to me :)))
Is your engine a Cummins too? If so, record this and listen to it while on the road :)))
In 1985, BMC made and agreement with Cummins Engines. The rep that came from there showed a promotional video with this song playing in the background. I loved it and nagged the guy so much that after he returned to the USA he sent me a cassette of the song.
These days, everything is one click on YouTube …
So, fellow Cummins owners, put this song on your iDevices, replace the word trucker with RVer, and let’s use that “reserve power for constant speed” to roll down the road.
Artist: Ed Bruce; 1976
Hi Erin,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and commenting on our travels. You know the Phaeton was our first choice but sadly it was too pricey. But we love our Tour.
I noticed that you are in Alabama, would you recommend RV parks and things to do in the state. We are heading east and currently.

ReplyDeleteI've tried to make comments a couple of times but it won't take my younger day link and instead links to a campground blog that I haven't even published for viewing ....?? So, I haven't commented but I've certainly been reading, as has Paul. We've learned so much about Red Bay and all of your interesting upgrades. Your pictures are amazing as usual, not just of the wildlife but also the detail shots of everything being done. You're very generous. Hopefully, we can avoid Red Bay and use local sources for any fixes.....we're optimistic that we won't need major repairs but glad to know that RB is there if needed.
Woowww, I've been blogged :) Thanks for your consideration, I wish you two, much reserve health so you can keep on traveling with your "reserve power for constant speed". Cheers!

Yes indeed Korki!
DeleteYou have been "Blogged" by a Master !!!
(But it was painless, no ;)?
Thanks for sending this to the E's.
We have all enjoyed it very much.
Wishing you much "reserve power" as well.
:))) My pleasure... Enjoy your times as much as you can!
