Blast from the Past: A Boat Named Erin

Ike Week 2008

I promised Mui that I would empty out my file cabinet this week so that he can wrap it up for storage.  Yes; he’s still hot and heavy into packing up anything that he can get his hands on.

Anyway, here’s a small painting my friend MBZ sent me a while back.  I can’t draw a stick figure … let alone paint a picture.  I admire people who have that artistic skill.

  3. Oh my goodness! Would you look at that old thing... Permission to shred m'dear.
That was quite a week. Must've knocked out half dozen of those fast watercolor sketches for practice, but they were just exercises, copied from a book, so I threw all the rest away. Didn't have the heart to throw away the Erin, although I believe it was actually named the Eric and I took the liberty ;))
Guess we'd have to lose electricity for another week (heaven forbid) before I get the luxury of all that painting time again!
Still haven't finished the cave explorers or the village tower... Maybe some year.

  4. Cool picture, and the memory that goes with it. Erin, you paint beautiful pictures with your camera.

  5. I also think it's a very cool picture. I wouldn't shred it either :)

  6. I'm with Gail, no shredding. And I have serious artist envy for all those who can draw and paint what they say. I would LOVE to be able to do illustrated journals. I've taken numerous art classes to no avail. I just don't have the eye it seems.
