We have come to believe that the better thing to do, or at least as proper a thing to do on Memorial Day is --- while we remember our dead heroes, pray for the ones yet to come, as we have surely come to a point where our country's industry is war, and we will certainly sacrifice more of our young people as we continue that industry.
Thought of you this morning, Erin, as I watched the President at Arlington. I somehow knew that you would have a beautiful, thoughtful photo for the day. I still remember that amazing flag photo from last year. I have only been to Arlington once, but it was incredibly moving. I have enjoyed your posts from our national cemetery in the past and this one is perfect as well.
There are truely evil people in this world today dedicated to the destruction of the United States. Thank God that we have brave, selfless men and women on watch to protect us and keep us free.
Erin, thanks again for sharing. I've been following along on your blog posts, just haven't been making many comments lately. Hope to do better in June.
very nice Erin..
ReplyDeleteThis day makes me sad. I always wonder how many of these wars since WWII have actually been necessary.
ReplyDeleteThank God for the Brave!
