"Two to Travel" is Back Home

Monday, 9 December
Winter Garden, Florida

We concluded our 107-day vacation this morning when the Celebrity Constellation docked in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

By 3:00p, the Phaeton had broken her shackles and left storage.  She is celebrating her freedom at the Orlando Winter Garden RV Resort tonight. Tomorrow, we head to Pensacola for a few days of provisioning before heading further west for the winter.

We're back home!

  1. Welcome home! Hope it's warmer for you there than it is for us here in Eugene!!!!!! I feel like there should be polar bears and penquins in our backyard.

  3. Welcome home. Are you sure you want to head west? The nation is in a deep freeze. Here in south Texas it's been durned cold since Thanksgiving. Tonight and tomorrow night we're looking at freezing temperatures in San Antonio. Did two 5K Volksmarches today with a friend. It was COLD, drizzly, a little windy and did I mention COLD? We had lunch at Chili's, then I headed back to the 5er, sat down at the table to blog and fell fast asleep. I guess the cold took more out of me than I thought.

Looking forward to blogs about your cruise and hopefully warmer climates!

  6. As Susan said, it might be wise to stay in Florida a bit longer. The weather has been awful lately. Do you have boat lag?

  11. Welcome home to the both of you! I know that you took a "ton" or pictures. I didn't realize until just a few days ago that you were still posting "teasers" and short blogs under a separate tab. I guess I must have missed the memo on that one back when you initially posted it. Anyway, welcome back and hope to cross paths with both of you again.

  13. Good to see you two back in our blog roll. Like others, I think you might want to enjoy the Florida weather before heading west. Just hope you hang around somewhere in the south long enough for us to catch up with you sometime soon.

  15. Hope your trip was wonderful, but know how nice it is to be home. We are winding down a 5 month, 10,000 mile road trip that was spectacular, but so nice to be west again!

  17. Welcome home! Not sure how you survived all that time on the ship. We arrived home today after ten very long days. Cruise people we are not. Thank goodness for our five port calls. Our excursions were great fun but the four sea days were SO long.

I would just love to sit down with you two and hear all about your long vacation. I'm sure you saw some unbelievable sites. The trip of a life time:)
