Lake Greenwood Motorcoach Resort — Cross Hill, South Carolina
I promise I am going to write a bit about the great resort/campground at which we landed yesterday, but I am hoping the sun will come out first so I can take pictures.
In the meantime, we were adopted this morning … if only for a brief time!
This nice doggy showed up at our site today and made herself at home.
She was very playful, asking for a belly rub as soon as I stepped out. I obliged her. Turns out she belongs to a neighboring house and visits frequently because campers feed her.
Camera shy
she playfully laid down for a belly rub, but turned her head away every time she saw the camera.
She stayed until she saw another coach pull in several sites over.
No wonder she prefers the newcomers … they have a dog that she can play with!
She looks like she wants to stay:)
ReplyDeleteI foresee a dognapping on the horizon... :cD
ReplyDeleteWe will resist ... don't need the long arm of the law following us around ;-)
DeleteI think it's much easier to "borrow" a doggie fix as you did :)
ReplyDeleteWe are near Charleston and looking for a place further inland. We may just end up there tomorrow. It looks like a real nice place.
ReplyDeleteCome on down ... there's plenty of room ;-)
DeleteShe knows where her bread is buttered!
ReplyDeleteSeems a lot calmer than Emma. I could go for a dog like that. :)
ReplyDeletenice 'adoptee'! looks like she sure enjoys her belly rubs!!!
ReplyDeleteAwww… If you ever find yourself in need of a companion with an attention span like a superball and perpetual good humor, let me suggest the yella lab. Never a bad mood, not even a slight funk… unlike a spoiled beagle who can pout, whine and heave sighs of exasperation when his daily habits are interrupted, however slightly. GR & J used to live with a fine lab, Boomer was his name. Loved that dawg.
ReplyDeleteWe were adopted temporarily once too but by a hiking cat who just struck up with us at a state park as we walked by a cabin. I worried about it just following and following us as we went a long way. But when we returned, s/he walked right up to the cabin porch and plopped down for a snooze.
ReplyDeleteLooks like she enjoys the travelers. I'm sure she gets lots of goodies from folks.
ReplyDeleteI thought you had gone and done it and gotten a dog. Sure is a cute one!
ReplyDeleteA dog would be nice ... but our plans for this lifestyle include getting off the road a bit every year for overseas trips, and living in a kennel for long periods is not what we would wish for a dog.
DeleteI like those borrowed dogs too. Ron's daughter has the cutest little dog that just loves me. She's kind of a cross between a cat and dog - greets you like a dog, but curls up on your lap like a cat.
ReplyDeletewhy... if you feed me I am likely to visit too...
ReplyDeleteHaving 3 cats we get our puppy fix walking around the campground but we never have been adopted.
ReplyDeleteAwwww, what a cutie. She won't let you take her picture as she doesn't want to be identified as the wandering free- loader!! "No, mom, it wasn't me, honest!"
