Kept the driver, but sold …
… the Highlander Hybrid today!
[photo taken at Chapman’s Mill in Virginia, October 2011.]
For those curious, the Pilli Bebek in the title is a reference to the hybrid’s electric battery. It means battery-powered baby in Turkish :-)
It wasn’t an easy decision to sell the Highlander. Unfortunately, we can’t tow it four-down and storing it for the foreseeable future didn’t make sense, either. So, off she went to a new home! Too bad, we really liked driving this vehicle.
One more thing that was on our prep-for-fulltiming list is now taken care of. Moving on …
And by the way, this means that as a one-car family, I’ll be working from home fulltime, borrowing the toad from Mui should my presence be required in the office on occasion. That’s a good thing!
Bye Bye Pearly Girl !
ReplyDeleteWonderful step forward :))
Sad to see "Pilli Bebek" gone; but it was the right thing to do.
DeleteHayırlı olsun.
ReplyDeletenice job on selling the car!..and being able to work from home?..bonus!!
ReplyDeleteseems your plans are coming together..sure wish ours were..but it is not to be..not yet anyway!
Sue, keep the faith ... your turn will come before you know it.
DeleteI think it always feels good to check something off of a to do list. :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the one-car adventure. What do you plan tow?
ReplyDeleteWe'll be towing a Honda CR-V. It's even color-coordinated with the Phaeton (that wasn't intentional).
DeleteYa' had to do what ya' had to do, but you'll be better for it. A better car is waiting for you.
ReplyDeleteI am learning about the Honda CR-V, it is what Roger and Nancy are towing with their Winnebago. It is a really nice car, much nicer than our little Tracker...but...I must say, the Tracker is a lot easier to tow. I just can hardly wait to see what you do when you are finally all the way full time. I am wondering how much you will plan and how much you will let yourselves be spontaneous...??? You are such great planners, Erin...will you just get in the rig and see what happens sometimes?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on selling the car and become a full time work at home person :) We sold my car just before we hit the road and it wasn't a problem sharing one vehicle for awhile. Now, we don't even notice that we only have one. We're together almost all the time anyhow.
