It’s tax day! Well, not really. Because today is Emancipation Day in DC, the tax deadline has been extended to the 18th. No matter, we filed in March and already have our federal and state refunds deposited into our account …. benefit of online filing!
I am writing this post en route to North Carolina. Today is the first day of our 9-day vacation. Initially, we were going to work the day and leave around 3:00p. But knowing the mess I-95 S can be, we decided to get an early start instead.
We left the house shortly after 6:00a. An hour later, the toad hooked up, we were leaving the storage lot. An hour of driving put us on I-95. Traffic has been light so far. It’s getting on towards 9:00a now, so we’ll probably miss the Richmond rush hour. So far so good.
I connected to the internet with our Millenicom aircard before I started writing this post, the sole purpose of which is to see if I can post to the blog while on the road. I guess I’ll have my answer in a few minutes.
UPDATE: Posted successfully. Super fast, excellent connection!
Reposting comment left by Sue and Doug, which was deleted inadvertently when the mouse slid on the screen ... hazards of working on the road :-)))
