Gulf Waters RV Resort — Port Aransas, Texas
Temps: Hi 73F (23C) / Lo 69F (21C)
Nope, it wasn’t snow that made our Christmas white … it was fog!
The fog, which wrapped us in a warm ... if damp ... cocoon yesterday evening, was supposed to burn off by noon. There were occasional signs that the forecast might come true. In the end, though, it was to no avail, and we continued to be enveloped by the thick mist. The sun lost the battle today.
This is what it looks like on the beach when we go for our walk this afternoon.
It’s only slightly better looking back towards the GWRVR beach access …
You’ll have to take my word that we’re not that far from it. As for that black
spot on the photo … that’s not a spot, it’s a kite that the group is flying.
Oh well; can’t complain. We’re at the beach after all, and we’re not having to shovel any snow ;-)

Merry Christmas Kids
ReplyDeleteI'm in shorts and a tank top... crazy!!!
Flying a kite in the fog...geez. Wouldn't catch me doing that. I am not a fog lover at all. Still, as you said, you don't have to shovel it.
ReplyDeleteNo white Christmas here in Ohio either but what a blessed day we had. Merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteSurprised that there was enough of a breeze in the fog to fly a kite. Haunting photos. Like you say, at least you're not shoveling snow! (me, neither) :- )
ReplyDeleteThere was enough wind to at least keep the kite aloft ... what was surprising was that it wasn't doing a thing to move the fog.
ReplyDeleteAt least you don't have to shovel fog! ;c)
ReplyDeleteHope you and Mui had a very Merry Christmas. Nice that even though it was foggy it was warm. I hope you don't get any of the bad weather that some parts of Texas are suppose to get.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ruth. It is supposed to get colder, but the really bad weather should pass to our north.
ReplyDeleteThis might the best white Christmas! Your photos are so interesting.
ReplyDeleteWishing you and Mui a Happy New Year!
Not the white Christmas I'd like. I hate fog. Well sometimes it is interesting in pictures actually. I like Sue & Mo's version of White Christmas but wouldn't want to stay there long at those temps. Hope yours was a merry one.
